Sahasrara represents the seventh chakra, also called the crown chakra or the thousand-petaled lotus, and is located a few millimeters above the head.

As an element represents the metal, it is located on the seventh auric layer, the spiritual body, connected to the upper part of the brain and the right eye, iit is purple in color.

The crown chakra teaches us to keep our feet on the ground but our head in the sky, urging us to abandon the past with its possible traumas, to live our responsibilities, warning us when we attribute them to others.

Through the power of the seventh chakra we can see our negative beliefs and get rid of them. When balanced, it benefits our capacity for understanding, consciousness and learning. With its energy, we are able to get to transcendental knowledge, which is the highest and purest form of knowledge that exists.

Thought evolves, becomes pure, untainted, slowly transforming us from observers to leaders, and exercising a deep form of awareness aimed at transcending deleterious conceptions, and letting things happen through us.

Instead, when this chakra is blocked, our lucid thinking is severely affected, causing physical discomfort and detachment toward our path of personal growth.

The energy of the seventh chakra is very powerful, so its malfunction is always associated with marked discomfort.

This leads us to divert our attention to materialism rather than spirituality. We become perpetually dissatisfied and become excessively attached to earthly possessions. People with problems in the seventh chakra are often afraid of death and reject anything that has no rational explanation.
